The Governing Board of European National Interreligious BodiesReligions for Peace Europe, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, held a meeting in Tirana on October 1, 2023, with the participation of the executive leaders of the Interreligious Councils of Europe.

The meeting was held at the Headquarters of the Muslim Community of Albania, which also has the presidency of the Interreligious Council of Albania for 2023. The meeting was opened by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Genti Kruja, Vice-President of the European National Interreligious Bodies (ENIB) as well as the Secretary General of the Interreligious Council of Albania. Dr. Luigi de Salvia, the President of Religions for Peace Europe, oversaw the agenda of this meeting.

The European delegation consisted of the presidents and leaders of the interreligious councils of Albania, Germany, Bulgaria, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Belgium, part of the Governing Board of the European National Interreligious Bodies of Religions for Peace Europe.

The council and governing board stayed in Albania for several days, where they held various meetings with religious leaders, boards and departments of the Interreligious Council of Albania, academic and educational institutions (representing a variety of religions present in Albania), and also visited several cities to learn more about important cultural artefacts and locations around Albania.
