On 6 April 2025, the Board of Religions for Peace Europe appointed Mr. Patrick Döring as the new Treasurer of the organization.

The selection process, launched several months ago through an open call published on the official channels of Religions for Peace, was led by a Special Applications Review Committee for the Treasurer position. After reviewing the submitted applications, the Committee decided to present Mr. Patrick Döring’s candidacy for a secret electronic vote by the RfP Europe Board.

Out of 17 active Board members, 14 participated in the vote. All 14 voted in favor of the candidacy, with no votes against and no abstentions. Based on this unanimous outcome and in line with the Board’s decision, Mr. Patrick Döring has been officially appointed as the new Treasurer of the organization, succeeding Mr. Rolf Bielefeld. Mr. Bielefeld had served with dedication in this role for several years and formally stepped down at the end of December 2024.

The RfP Europe Board extends its deep gratitude to Mr. Bielefeld for his long-standing commitment and valuable contributions, and warmly congratulates Mr. Döring on his appointment, wishing him every success in his new role.
