President of RfP Europe Prof. Kruja Congratulated the Newly Elected Archbishop of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania
In a message, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Genti Kruja, President of Religions for Peace Europe, extended his warmest congratulations to His Beatitude, Archbishop Joan, on his election as the new Archbishop of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania.
“I pray that God guides you in every step of your duty, granting you wisdom, patience, and love to lead your community with prudence and devotion,” Prof. Kruja stated. He expressed hopes that this new chapter would be marked by harmony and success, serving not only the Albanian community but also contributing to the broader European society.
Prof. Kruja underscored his confidence in Archbishop Joan’s leadership and vision, emphasizing the critical role he will play in promoting interfaith harmony and cooperation.
“Your role in the Interreligious Council of Albania, as a member of the Presidential Board, will be essential in deepening the dialogue among faith communities and fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and fraternal cooperation, which has characterized Albanian people for centuries.”
He also highlighted the Archbishop’s dedication as an inspiring example, expressing his belief that under Archbishop Joan’s guidance, the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania would continue its meaningful contributions to society, fostering dialogue and harmony. This commitment follows in the footsteps of His Beatitude Anastasios, renowned for his dedication to interfaith understanding. It is worth noting that the latter was the Honorable President of Religions for Peace.
The message reflects the broader commitment of European interreligious organizations to fostering unity and understanding across diverse faith communities, marking a significant moment for the Albanian Orthodox Church and its role in promoting peace and cooperation in the region.
